NCTM Conference

This week, I am in Indianapolis, IN attending the Annual Meeting for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. I am having a great time so far, and I can't wait to share what I have learned with all of you!

Something really special happened tonight at the opening ceremony. Jeffrey Travis was our guest speaker, and he told us all about his movie, Flatland!

Watch the trailer below and see if you can spot anything we've talked about in Math class. We will be watching the movie together and doing lots of exciting activities when I return. Get excited!

Signing off from Indy,

Ms. Gore

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter break is approaching! Please note that there will be no school Friday, April 22 and Monday, April 25!! Students will return to school Tuesday, April 26.

Our 5th grade Easter Egg Hunt will take place Thursday, April 21 at 10a.m. We invite families to come watch as students go on the hunt! Each student is asked to bring at least 10 filled eggs. Please do not put chocolate candy in the eggs. It’s hot out there and candy melts fast!

Parents, e-mail me if you would to help with the Easter Egg Hunt. There will be several activities along with the main hunt, and we need your help!

Ms. Gore
